Sunday Night Update

I talked to Sheri earlier tonight, she said that Wally was out walking some laps at the hospital. This is great news, the sooner he rebuilds his strength after surgery the better and the sooner he can go home.

The plan is still to start the chemotherapy in about a month, but he should be home sometime this week. If you have any personal messages that you'd like to send to him, please fee free to email him at wallycarruthers@hotmail.com. You'll probably have to wait a while for a response as he might not get to reading them for a while, but don't let that stop you from sending all your love and prayers to him.

I'm planning on going to see him tomorrow, and I'll take all the comments posted here so he can read them so post away.

Walking laps at the hospital, eh? Hmmm....Having spent four wonderful years on the same floor at VM in my previous life, I think you're more on a mission to see the Sleep Lab and do a little Research... :) Well, in that case Special Agent "Frank", let me help you out....that wooden door in their waiting area to the right of the copier is where all the goodies are at...

Glad to hear you are up and moving around and wishing you a speedy recovery!

PS for "Frank"...Should you or any of your team be caught....Just ask for a guy named Upen...He owes me a favor or two... :)

We are praying and cheering for you!

Maybe you could also use this time to write a new version of Dick and Jane? Like, "Wally is Walking. See Wally Walk. Wait, Wally is running - Wally!!!"

Or not....anyway - we are pulling for you!

Hey Wally,
We're all praying for your recovery! Your good spirits during all this is really encouraging! Glad to hear you're doing laps now. Don't get into too much trouble at the hospital ;)
Hope to see you back at church in no time.

The fourth time is the charm! So much technology so few can use it!
hey Wally,
We were wondering if you needed some new funny material but if you are walking the halls then you can find new victims, I mean people to amuse with your jokes! Just kidding! You have a great sense of humor and now is a great time to use it.
Pray, love and laugh!
We are only a phone call and plane ride away!
Love, Don and Letha

Walking laps is a good thing, and definitely hard so soon after surgery! Keep up your strength and sense of humor!

Wally,

I am just hearing of your struggle! I was so surprised and saddened to hear of your illness...but happy to hear it is NOT getting you down. I have read all the updates on your progress and can say I am not surprised by your attitude to persevere.

Please know that you, Sheri, and the children will be in our daily prayers. Much love and hugs to you all.
